WElcome to Artistique Playschool & Early learning center!!

I am honored you are here! As Executive Director for Artistique Playschool, I would like to thank you for visiting our page. APS was created from the heart of a mama. Led by a team of educators with a passion for all things early education and a desire to offer high quality programming in our community, APS opened in 2016.
Our team believes that children learn in many different ways and set out to create a child centered curriculum which allowed us to meet the needs of each individual child. Child-initiated learning involves cognitive, social, and physical learning that is desirably near the upper limit of each child’s abilities. It involves discovery and thinking about experience and learning that comes from interaction with other people. Rather than controlling these activities, adults share control with children. To support child-initiated learning, adults set up the classroom in learning centers or activity areas and give children time in their daily routine to plan and choose their own activities by selecting games, puzzles, sensory or craft items, etc set out for exploration. Such play has been widely linked to the development of creativity, self-regulation, problem solving, and physical and social capacities.
